Game of Thrones Theme Birthday!

My sister and I are the greatest fanatics of G.R.R. Martin's - Game of Thrones (GoT), so this year I secretly planned to throw a GoT surprise on her birthday by turning her bathroom into King's Landing and her commode was converted into the famous "Iron Throne".

On her birthday, I woke up at 4:00 a.m. to stick the sword cut outs and I made personalized birthday banner which read "HAPPY NAME DAY". When Her Highness woke up and was entering the bathroom, I played GoT theme music and she gave me what-is-she-up-to-look! At first, she did not even notice her toilet seat, but when she did the look on her face and reaction was priceless! And my hard work finally paid off.


I also had another surprise under my sleeve, I gifted her with Polaroid camera (FUJIFILM Instax Mini 8) for which I made photo props to take pictures.

  • IRON THRONE:

To make an Iron Throne; I made swords out of black chart paper and pasted it carefully behind the toilet seat.

Ladies of "Not-of-Night-Watch"

  • BIRTHDAY BANNER:
Similarly, cut out the colored banner from the chart paper and stick it on a rope or a ribbon.

You can find different free printable photo props online,which I downloaded, colored it and stick it on the "Satay Sticks".
